Bands
Comfort Beanie launched in late 2025, but immediately we knew something was missing. The beanies are fabulous for those dealing with hair loss from chemotherapy or any reason, really. However, I found many people who loved our mission and wanted to support us but had no reason to buy a beanie. I knew there had to be a product that would cater to a wider demographic, yet still fit in with the key goals of Comfort Beanie:
- Style
- Comfort
- Generosity
As my hair began to grow out after my chemotherapy hairloss, I often found myself reaching for hair styling accessories, but most had some reason that I disliked them. Firm headbands were the first thing I went for. They did the job but most would squish my head or pinch behind my ears. I wore my beanies some, but honestly, I was done wearing them. It was kind of like a little flashback to a very awful time every time I would put one on. Scarves allowed me some adorable looks, and I had fun experimenting with tying them in different and fun ways, but most of them would slip and slide on my hair so I was constantly fidgeting with them.
I found that bandanas ended up being my favorite accessory, but I really wanted something that was easier than messing with getting the knot just right. I also struggled to find bandanas with solid colors or fun prints. And then it hit me: Why can’t I mesh the idea of the bandana, and a Comfort Beanie. And that is exactly what I did!
Introducing Bands by Comfort Beanie!
Bands by Comfort Beanie Chemo Hats are a super soft and comfortable headband that can be worn several different ways. They fit right in with Comfort Beanie because the same words describe them: style, comfort, and generosity.
STYLE:
Bands can be worn in various different ways that are all adorable, but also gives flexibility to fit everyone’s individual style.
The basic head band is very wide. Personally, I love this because my hair is still in the grow out phase and I cannot yet rock a pony tail. With the wide base on my band, it holds up all those baby hairs at the nape of my neck. I have also heard from others that they love this feature because it keeps those baby hairs up and off their neck while they play pickleball and other sports.
If you prefer a narrow band on your band, that is easy to do. All you need to do is simply fold over the band and “Viola!” It instantly becomes a narrow band so you can leave your hair down and still use a Comfort Band to style and accessorize the front of your hair.
The basic head band features a crossover twist at the top. This can be worn just as is for a more classic look with your band. But I love to have choices in my accessories, and I believe you should always have options. That is why every single band also comes with a faux knot for the top. When this is added to your band, it completely changes the look into a more casual and trendy style.
Style Tip: Mix and Match those faux knots on your bands to create entirely new looks with them.
COMFORT:
Comfort is a very important quality of the Comfort Beanie Chemo Hats brand and this new line is no different. Our bands are all made with the same super soft fabrics that you have come to love with Comfort Beanies Chemo Hats. While we have several different fabric variances, they all meet our super soft standard.
Not only are the fabrics soft, but the design of the band itself is comfortable. Bands by Comfort Beanie fit most head sizes because of how they are sewn allowing for maximum stretch.
Style Tip: Most people struggle with headwraps, scarves, and bandanas because they are too tight. We mistakenly think that tighter will stay on better, but that is not the case. You actually want any accessory tied around your head to be slightly loose so it doesn’t try to constantly pop off the back of your head. Remember: looser is better!
GENEROSITY:
Comfort Beanie Chemo Hats, as a company, was designed to fund the donation of beanies to area cancer clinics and hospitals. The addition of bands to our product line will allow us to donate even more, because every time you purchase a Band by Comfort Beanie, it furthers our mission.
When I first saw the future of Comfort Beanie, I really struggled trying to decide if I had a business or a charity and ministry. After much time in prayer, I had clarity that I didn’t have to decide: it could be both. So that is exactly how I have proceeded with Comfort Beanie Chemo Hats. Every time someone makes a purchase with Comfort Beanie Chemo Hats, whether that purchase is a beanie or a band, it helps to fund the donation of a beanie to an area cancer clinic or hospital. At this time, those donations are being made in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where I received my treatment for my breast cancer. I have big dreams that in the future those donations will reach a wide range of clinics all over the United States. But I can’t do that alone. I need your help!
